Note: CPanel provides you with an easy way to protect directories from unauthorized access.

1. Click Password Protect Directories.

2. Click the image icon to go inside a folder.

3. Click the name of the folder to select it.

4. Check the box beside Directory requires a password to access via the web.

5. Click the Save button.

6. Click Go Back. You have set up this folder to require authorization. Now, you need to create a user with privileges to access this folder.

7. In the User Name box, enter the new user name.

8. In the Password box, enter the password associated with this new user.

9. Click the Add/modify authorized user button.

10. Congratulations! You just password- protected a directory.
